Who is “us?” Founding partners of T1 Silver are Designer and Buyer Tommi Nuchnok from Bangkok and Toronto, and Manager Ron Erdely from Toronto. Retail buyers may order our products online by using PayPal’s secure and convenient system. Visit PayPal here if you are not familiar with their services. Throughout our site, you will see “Add to Cart” and “View Cart” buttons. By clicking these buttons, you will be able to add items to, and view your virtual shopping cart hosted by PayPal, and customized by T1 Silver. All our prices are in US Dollars.
To complete your purchase(s) online with PayPal, you will be given the option to sign into your account, sign up for a new one, or to use an alternative payment method (such as a credit card) without creating a PayPal account. Just follow the clear, step-by-step instructions during your check-out process.
You are also able to order directly through us by e-mail to info@t1silver.com. This requires that you send us your specific order details after which we’ll send you an e-mail with an invoice, payment instructions and shipping information. Do not send us your credit card number in an e-mail. This is not secure and we will never ask for it in this manner; in fact, T1 accepts credit cards only through our secure, PayPal shopping cart.
Help is available throughout the online PayPal order completion process. And of course if you get stuck, you may e-mail us at support@t1silver.com. Our response could take anywhere from a few hours, to a day or two, however. Check our frequently asked questions (FAQs) below for quick info, and take your time following the instructions if you’re having trouble. 1. Answers about silver products [Back to FAQs] [Top]
• Where are your silver products from?
Our silver products come from Bangkok, Thailand.
• Who makes the silver jewellery?
Our products are made by skilled, Thai silversmiths and stonesetters working in Bangkok. We have a personal relationship with our suppliers who provide high-quality, precisely made Sterling Silver jewellery featuring the latest trends as well as classic designs. We sometimes “help” in the designs, making suggestions based on our knowledge of customers’ requests.
• What is the silver content of your silver jewellery?
Sterling Silver means 92.5% silver content. In addition, our jewellery is rhodium electro-plated which means it has added brilliance and will not tarnish, as does pure silver. You may hear that some silver jewellery is "white-gold-plated," which incorrectly refers to the rhodium electroplating process. It has become a common phrase because rhodium is highly reflective, hard and durable and costs more than twice the price of gold.
• What stones are featured in your jewellery?
98% of our stones (clear and coloured—except black) are made from Cubic Zirconia. CZ is a manufactured stone that can have near-diamond brilliance and clarity for a fraction of a diamond’s cost. The black stones are Onyx. Some of our coloured stones are actually glass because those specific colours are not available in CZ. We indicate clearly each item’s make up and never deceive our customers. We are happy to credit Charles Winston of the well-known Winston jewellery-making family with pioneering the concept and process of making beautiful, high-quality silver and CZ jewellery that is affordable to all. Separately, our crystal jewellery features Swarovski crystal components as well as glass beads.
• In what sizes are your products available? Or, how do I find out my ring size?
Ring sizes are available from US Size 5 to 9. These sizes have corresponding circumferences of 49 to 59.3 millimeters, and diameters of 15.7 to 18.89 mm. For more information and help in finding out your ring size, visit Ring Sizes at OnlineConversion.com.
• Can I buy just the ring from a ring/bracelet or ring/earring set?
Yes. You can buy just a ring, just a bracelet, or just a pair of earrings. In fact, you must order both parts of any set separately if you would like the whole set.
• How can I best take care of my silver accessories?
Silver and rhodium are affected by air and chemicals in the environment, as are all metals. Since our products are rhodium electro-plated, they will not tarnish. But you should still keep your rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces clean by washing them periodically with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Do not use any cleaning chemicals. Dry them thoroughly, and when not wearing them for extended periods, store them in air-tight containers–zip-lock bags are ideal. Perfumes, colognes and cosmetics could permanently stain your accessories. Apply make-up, scents and hair sprays and make sure they are dry before you put on your jewellery.

• Where are your crystal products from?
Our crystal finished products are custom designed and made in Canada. The crystal stones and beads used are all made by Swarovski. The Sterling Silver components and chains come from Thailand.
• Who makes the crystal jewellery?
Our crystal jewellery and accessories are hand-made by our very own designer. Tommi N, T1 Silver’s founding partner, designs the products and makes every piece by hand. Brides are well-served by Tommi who is detail-oriented and loves every piece she makes.
• Are all models available in all colours?
Almost. What you see online are the current T1 designs and colour combinations. Special orders can be made, and based on component availability, can be filled. E-mail us your requests with details stating product numbers and desired colours, and we’ll let you know. Mention other product numbers that show the colours you would like instead of just writing “light blue,” for example. Note that not all Swarovski components are available in all colours. • Who makes the components you use?
T1 makes all its crystal jewellery and accessories using the finest Swarovski Components. These include Crystal Beads in various shapes and sizes and Swarovski’s Crystal Pearls. All of our products are made up of a majority of Swarovski parts. When certain shapes or colours are unavailable from Swarovski, or when Tommi is mixing design components, we use Czech crystal beads, Japanese seed beads, Chinese glass and crystal beads, and Italian Murano glass. In short, we use the most precise and highest-quality components available for all of our custom jewellery. There are reasons for this: the quality and strength of construction, the uniformity of manufacturing, and the beauty and form of design.
• Are crystal rings adjustable in size?
No, none of them are adjustable by you, the wearer. They are available in three sizes, Small, Medium and Large—about a US Size 5-6 (S), size 7-8 (M), and size 9+ (L). Larger than L and smaller than S are available by special request, but some designs will have to change to suit the custom size.
• Can I design my own crystal jewellery and/or accessories?
You certainly can! We listen to each of our customers and work with you to make that perfect piece. Our specialty is beautiful bridal and bridesmaid jewellery, but all of our items are customizable and your ideas are welcome. E-mail us and let’s start the collaboration.
• Can I make my own crystal jewellery and/or accessories?
Sure thing! It’s fun and when you’re done, you feel a real sense of accomplishment, and of course, you can brag to your friends. We encourage you to give it a try. Our Krystal Kits (not yet available) provide the perfect opportunity to get started. Each kit contains exactly the number of beads and length(s) of line needed (plus a little extra) to make its corresponding piece of jewellery. To make most crystal rings, bracelets and necklaces, no special tools are required. Just your hands, some time, and a little patience. Visit the T1C Forum for help and to share stories of your successes...and failures. But never give up!
• Do you teach how to make your crystal products?
We teach with our Krystal Kits (coming soon!), but don’t offer any personal classes. Yet. Down the line, we’ll see what our customers want. Post questions and look for answers in the T1C Forum. You’ll get the most help from people just like you.
• How can I best take care of my crystal accessories?
Crystal jewellery can gather dust from the air and oil from your skin and lose its lustre. You can easily return its natural shine by soaking it in warm, soapy water for about ten or twenty minutes. Use a tiny amount of mild dishwashing soap. Lightly rub the crystals between your fingers, then gently rinse in lukewarm water running from the tap. Use a clean towel to dab it dry. Allow it to sit for a day for extra water to evaporate. When getting dressed, apply all hairspray, make-up and perfume and wait for them to dry before putting on your jewellery.

• How can I order?
You can order by browsing our website and clicking an Add to Cart button beside an item that you would like to buy. Continue browsing and clicking Add to Cart for every item that you’d like. Don’t worry if you click too many items because you can always remove them from your online shopping cart later. And if you want two or more of any item, you can also later change the order’s quantity. When you’re done shopping, click the View Cart button to proceed to the T1 Silver PayPal shopping cart. There, you can follow the simple instructions to complete the required information fields, select your method of payment and complete your order. It’s quite simple once you get going, and help is available along the way.
• I don’t have a PayPal account. Can I still order?
Yes. PayPal offers you the choice of signing into your existing PayPal account, signing up for a new one, or completing the purchase transaction using a credit card without creating or using a PayPal account. Visit PayPal for information.
You can also order from us by e-mail. Send the details of your order to info@t1silver.com stating product numbers, sizes and colours (if applicable). We will gladly reply with instructions on how to make your payment by check. We will have to receive your full payment before we process your order. Do not e-mail us your credit card number. Other than through PayPal, we don’t currently accept credit cards. Plus, we would never ask you to e-mail us your credit card number anyway as e-mail is inherently insecure and open to misuse. Our methods of payment separate from PayPal are checks, money orders and direct deposits.
• I don’t have a credit card. Can I still order?
Yes, you can. PayPal offers other methods of payment through your PayPal account. You can pay with checks and money orders, or from the balance in your PayPal account. If you’re not yet a PayPal account holder, see the previous question for details.
• Do you charge tax(es)?
We must charge GST (7%) to Canadian customers, as well as PST (8%) to Ontario customers. Orders shipped out of Canada are not charged any taxes.
• Do you have handling or any other charges?
We have no handling charges. We do have shipping charges.
• How do I know if my order went through OK?
If you ordered through our shopping cart, you will get a confirmation notice from PayPal via e-mail. If you are not a PayPal account holder and you ordered by e-mail sent directly to T1, we will send a confirmation notice and invoice via e-mail.
(Of course we will, because we'll have to provide you with payment details.)
• Can I order by phone?
Unfortunately, not at this time. We’re still growing and hope to provide this service at some point.
• Can I order by e-mail?
Yes, you may e-mail your order directly to info@t1silver.com stating that you would prefer to order without using PayPal. Include details of product numbers, sizes and colours (if applicable). We will send a confirmation notice, invoice and payment options with instructions via e-mail.
• Can I order by snail-mail?
Not yet. (But if you’re reading this online, why would you want to?) As mentioned, we’re growing. We hope to offer full postal ordering services at the same time as we set up our toll-free telephone access.
• I’ve never purchased anything online and am still nervous about doing this. How safe is it to order online using PayPal?
We’re not going to lie and say it’s perfectly safe. Nothing is. But PayPal is as secure as is currently possible over the Internet. In fact, their, and T1’s, reputations are staked on that assurance. The truth is, if a website uses security and secure scripting and coding practices (as PayPal’s does), a transaction that includes a credit card number is actually safer than one provided by voice over the phone. It’s easier to tap a phone line than break the encryption used over the Internet. But, most credit card theft actually occurs at the personal level. I.e., if you give your card number to a person on the phone, the individual can then use that information illicitly. PayPal uses an automated, encrypted system and is a company that earns the majority of its income from commissions from online payments. They are as secure and safe as it presently gets. That’s why we chose PayPal to host our online shopping cart. It’s their business. And it protects ours, and yours.
4. Answers about shipping prices and delivery times [Back to FAQs] [Top]
• How much does shipping cost?
Shipping charges start at $6 for orders less than $100, and approximately $12 between $100 & $200, etc. To find out the shipping charge for a particular order, add your items to the shopping cart and click “Checkout.” The shopping cart will display the exact shipping cost. (You don’t have to complete the order if you just want to find out the total costs, including shipping.) Very large orders may be subject to additional charges.
• How long does it take to receive my order?
From the time we receive payment, it takes three to ten days for customers in Canada and the US to take delivery of an order that we have in stock. For items out of stock, and all items to international destinations, it takes two to four weeks.

• Can I track my order online?
Yes, if you choose courier shipping; we’ll provide you with the tracking number. No, if you choose postal shipping. We use insured postal services and some are trackable, some aren’t (depending on the shipment’s point of origin, which can vary depending on what we have in stock, and where). We track what we can and keep you up-to-date if we know of delays.
5. Answers about wholesale buying [Back to FAQs] [Top]
• How can I become a wholesale buyer of your products?
You can complete our registration form to open an account with us. Fill in all the compulsory fields so we can determine if you meet all of our requirements. These include owning, or representing, a retail store, and providing verifiable contact and credit information. After we receive your information, we will contact you by e-mail or phone and provide details on our wholesale order process and pricing.
• What are your minimum numbers to buy wholesale?
Minimums are $1,000 worth of silver products (calculated using the wholesale prices), and 10 pieces per style, per size (any stone colour). Minimums for crystal are $500, any style any colour. That means a minimum order is $1,000 if ordering only silver, or $500 if ordering only crystal, or $1,500 if ordering both. For retailers who wish to try our crystal items in their stores, after registering with us, they may order any six items (or more) and receive 30% off the retail prices shown on this site. (Our silver items do not qualify for this offer.)
• Can I mix and match styles and colours to make up the minimum wholesale purchase requirements?
You must order a minimum of 10 pieces per style, per size for silver items in any colour totaling at least $1,000, and/or a minimum of $500 worth of crystal items. These amounts are calculated based on wholesale prices. For our crystal promotion, you may order any six items and receive 30% off the retail prices shown here.
• Who pays for shipping of wholesale orders?
You, the buyer. Because prices are already discounted, additional costs such as shipping, insurance, duties & taxes, and customs clearing are the buyer’s responsibilities. [End of FAQs]

There’s really no need for multiple pages of legaleze in our Privacy Policy section. (Although if anyone sues us we might change our minds.) Here’s what we promise all retailers, wholesalers, agents and consumers: 1. We will never give or sell your name, contact, credit, e-mail, or any other information that you give us, to anyone. Ever. Information that you provide to PayPal to sign up to use T1’s shopping cart is governed by PayPal’s own privacy policy. Please refer to their terms for more information. 2. We have only the following disclaimer: In the event that T1 Silver is purchased by, taken over by, or merges with another company, of course our customers’ information would be passed to the new entity. But, only with your permission. (We'll certainly let you know when/if the time comes.) 3. We will never ask for any credit card information to be provided in an e-mail. E-mail messages by their very nature are insecure. 4. We will never ask for your PayPal password. You should make that password unique and different from any other password that you use online.
If you receive e-mail from any T1 Silver e-mail address that asks for credit card information or passwords, it is not from us and you should not provide it. It is easy to spoof an e-mail address (i.e. make it look like it came from someone else). In the event that you receive such an e-mail, you should forward the message to support@t1silver.com so we can take legal or police action. Do not reply to the message even if the To: field shows an @t1silver.com address. Click Forward, and manually type “support@t1silver.com” into the To: field.
If you are placing an order over the phone (telephone orders are currently available only to registered buyers), you will never be asked for your credit card information by an employee of T1 Silver. We only take credit cards through PayPal. (Other methods of payment are checks, money orders and direct deposits.)
If you are calling for a support issue about an online order, you will never be asked for your PayPal password. If any “employee” of T1 Silver asks for a credit card number or a PayPal password, do not provide it. Ask for that person’s name, employee number and telephone number. If he or she gives you all of this information, please e-mail it to support@t1silver.com. I am certain we will be able to verify that this person is not really one of our employees. You may wish to use a Call Return feature on your telephone (if available) to find out the caller’s actual number and report it to your local police as attempted fraud.
Within the PayPal system, and within our online wholesale registration process, sending personal information is safe. At PayPal, all of their shopping cart transactions are done on a secure server. You can tell by seeing https:// (“s” for secure) in the address bar at the top of your browser, and seeing a little padlock icon at the bottom left or right of most popular browsers’ windows. (Some older browsers use lower levels of encryption; use the latest versions for maximum security.) Our registration form is secured by our host ISP delivering your submitted information to our internal mailbox on a protected server.
In short, be cautious and never give out personal information to someone who contacts you without prior notice, even if that someone sounds legitimate. Sounding legitimate is part of a fraudster’s job.
